I have been a maker and an artist for as long as I can remember. From a young age I was fascinated by wood as a material, and by how it fit into our lives. I now spend my time working with my hands, bringing forms to life from blocks of wood. I keep my shapes and lines simple, taking influence from early Shaker style designs, to emphasise the timbers character, grain and colour.

Im extremely fortunate to live in Yorkshire and be surrounded by the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and patches of stunning woodland. I work mainly with locally sourced timbers from fallen trees or felling from local woodlands.
